WILDLIFE

EXPEDITIONS

For those who want to experience the ocean and capture its magic.

Get closer to the

wild

There are places in the ocean that make you forget everything else. A bait ball surrounded by striped marlin, thousands of mobula rays moving together, or the sudden appearance of an animal you've travelled halfway across the world to see.

At Nomad of the Blue, we create wildlife expeditions built around these moments. From the waters of Baja California to other extraordinary places, each experience is shaped by the wildlife, the conditions and the people who join us.

We keep our groups small, put the well-being of the animals first, and believe that the experience in the water should always come before the photos. Whether you're an experienced freediver, an underwater photographer or simply someone who feels at home in the ocean, what matters most is being there, fully immersed in the experience.

OUR COMPROMISE WITH THE OCEAN & YOu

We started Nomad of the Blue because we wanted to do things differently. No chasing encounters at any cost, no treating wildlife as a spectacle, and no making guests feel like they're just there to fill a boat.

Just wild places, remarkable animals and a shared love for the ocean. We bring the experience and knowledge to make the most of every opportunity, with photography workshops for those who want to take their creativity underwater.

Your GROUP,

OUR EXPERTISE

What if you could build your own wildlife expedition in Baja California, surrounded by the people you want to share it with, and focused on the encounters you've always dreamed of?

Whether it's exploring the Sea of Cortez, swimming alongside extraordinary marine life or spending days out at sea with your camera, we work with you to shape an experience around your interests, your expectations and the kind of adventure you want to have.

You bring your people and your ideas. We bring our local knowledge, experience and passion for the ocean to make it happen. From planning the expedition to finding the best opportunities out on the water, we take care of the details so you can focus on what really matters: being there, experiencing the wild and making memories that will stay with you for a lifetime.

No two expeditions need to be the same. Let's create yours.

MOBULA MIGRATION

La Ventana

March - June

Every year, thousands of mobula rays gather in the waters around Baja California, creating one of the most extraordinary wildlife spectacles in the Sea of Cortez. But the migration is only part of the story. These waters are also travelled by orcas, dolphins and some of the largest animals on Earth, from humpback whales to blue whales, depending on the season.

We can create a personalized expedition around the experience you're looking for, whether you want to spend your days in the water with mobula rays, explore the coastline in search of marine mammals, or combine both for a deeper immersion into the wild side of Baja.

Bring your own group, tell us what excites you most, and we'll work with you to shape an experience around your interests, the season and the wildlife opportunities. With small groups, local knowledge and a flexible approach, the goal is to make the most of every day out on the water, without ever losing sight of what matters most: the animals and the privilege of sharing their world.

SHARK DIVING

All year-round

Cabo San Lucas

The waters around Cabo San Lucas offer the chance to encounter some of the ocean's most remarkable predators in their natural environment. From the elegant blue shark and the powerful shortfin mako to silky sharks and hammerheads, these open-water encounters offer a completely different perspective on animals that are so often misunderstood.

These waters are also home to an amazing variety of pelagic wildlife, and encounters can include mobula rays, dolphins, sea turtles and other marine animals moving through the blue.

At Nomad of the Blue, we can help you create a personalized shark diving experience in Cabo, shaped around your interests and the kind of encounter you're looking for. Bring your own group, tell us what excites you most, and we'll work with you to plan an experience tailored to your expectations.

The species you encounter depend on the season, ocean conditions and wildlife activity. We believe the best experiences come from understanding the animals, respecting their space and allowing each encounter to unfold naturally. No sightings can be guaranteed, but every trip is an opportunity to experience the wild ocean on its own terms.

Bring your people. Tell us what you'd love to experience. We'll help you make it happen.
